BEMDYN - A boundary element program for two-dimensional elastodynamics This paper reports on BEMDYN, a boundary element program for general time-dependent problems in elastic or viscoelastic plane domains. The program is based on a boundary integral equation that relates to the Laplace transformed boundary variables. The theoretical basis is presented. Further, an optimal integration scheme is proposed and novel analytical expressions for the singular integrals are given. Three examples are calculated and a comparison made with exact solutions and finite element solutions.
