PESSL is the parallel implementation of the IBM Engineering and Scientific Subroutine Library (ESSL). It consists of scalable mathematical routines that support parallel processing on IBM computer systems and clusters of IBM workstations. Parallel ESSL supports the Single Program Multiple Data (SPMD) programming model using either the Message Passing Interface (MPI) signal handling library or the MPI threaded library.
