This paper reports on a new modular package for the analysis of low energy electron diffraction (LEED) data. The package, DL_LEED, has been developed at the CLRC Daresbury Laboratory. The code implements a number of new design features not found in other LEED programs. The code is designed to perform structural optimizations in a variety of modes ranging from full dynamic searches through to tensor LEED searches and is inherently suitable for parallel computing architectures.
