Engel expansions of q-series by computer algebra. The authors describe their Mathematica package Engel that can be used to rediscover known or to conjecture new q-series identities. The method is based on the so-called q-Engel Expansion of formal Laurent series. The applicability of the package is illustrated with several examples, such as identities of Euler, Cauchy, Slater, and a new infinite family of identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type.
