NCAR Command Language
The NCAR Command Language (NCL) is a programming language designed specifically for the access, analysis, and visualization of data. It can be run in interactive or batch mode, and includes features common to modern languages, including types, variables, operators, expressions, conditional statements, loops, and functions and procedures, and also functions to handle the manipulation of metadata, the configuration of output graphics, the importing of data from a variety of formats, and an algebra that supports array operations. Many useful functions and procedures for processing and manipulating data are included. (Source: http://freecode.com/)
