This project is conceived as an Open Source Software that realizes the idea of a Problem Solving Environment (PSE) in the field of computational electrochemistry. In an extension of the definition of the term chemoinformatics by J. Gasteiger and T. Engel (see T. Engel, J. Chem. Inf. Model. 2006, 46, 2267-2277), this and similar programs could be contributions to `electrochemoinformatics’. Computer controlled experimental measurements, numerical simulation and analysis of electrochemical processes will be combined under a common user interface. OOP is the paradigm, C++ the language and Linux the Operating System (by now).
