Spatial geometry activities with computers in the context of on-line distance education I discuss the process of elaborating and discussing activities developed with the software Wingeom in an on-line distance education course for mathematics teachers. I present the context of the course and the concerns that led me to conduct the study in a virtual learning environment. I also present theoretical conceptions regarding the investigation of mathematics using information technologies and show how different media, as well as the pedagogical proposal, condition the elaboration and development of the activities, as well as the mathematical discussion. Finally, I comment about the importance of studies that contribute to classroom in addition to contributing to scientific knowledge.
