SeaFEM: Hydrodynamics code for analysis of seakeeping and maneuvering problems for ships and marine structures. SeaFEM is a state of the art solver for simulating seakeeping and maneuvering problems, developed at the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering ( in collaboration with CompassIS. SeaFEM is built on the Tdyn-Compass FEM environment for structural and multi-physics analysis in science and engineering. While most seakeeping softwares available are based on the frequency domain and boundary element method, SeaFEM has been developed for more realistic simulations solving potential flow equations in the time domain and using the finite element method on unstructured meshes, which is highly recommended for the simulation of complex geometries in large and deep domains.
