SIDAC: Instrumental system for the development of scientific applications. SIDAC is oriented to face scientific problems such as solving differential equations, curve fitting, parameter estimation, etc. It employs Gear’s and Levenberg-Marquardt’s well-known methods which are included into different libraries similar to IMSL. SIDAC offers the user a system of menu and help messages to use the numerical methods. The program is oriented at the inexperienced user and helps to select the optimal form for solving a concrete problem. There are many commands to manage mathematical and chemical objects like differential equations, chemical reactions and functions. The system was developed using Prolog and Fortran languages. It needs an IBM compatible computer with 640K of RAM memory and hard disk.
