The package LIEPDE computes infinitesimal symmetries of differential equations (DEs). These can be point-, contact and generalized higher order symmetries. The overdetermined system of symmetry conditions is solved by the program CRACK. Flags allow the formulation and solution of the symmetry conditions in successive stages to lower the overall memory and time requirements. A parameter allows the computation of the prolongation of the symmetry vector up to some given order.
