The problem: Rangefiders lasers are used in scientific research for the characterization of surfaces in the industry, metrology, geography and cartography construction. Despite the versatility, the variables for correct operation are diverse and, if the operator is unaware of such conditions, can lead to lack confidence data. The solution: The software is a set of computer programs that can simulate the operation of a rangefiders type laser altimeter device and includes in the simulation, the environment and the instrument operating conditions. Parameters are used as input data relating to the physical characteristics of the instrument, the operating environment and the target surface. The market: The software is versatile because it can act in any situation where it is necessary to simulate a laser distance measuring instrument with measurement based on the pulse of flight time, some areas of activity can be the projects sector (for setting parameters for purchase of its components), scientific (for the analysis and characterization of topographies) and educational.
