It represents an important link between blade design, advanced fluid analysis, and manufacturing. -BladeGen produces blade geometry data that can be exported for rapid CFD (computational fluid dynamics) grid generation using CFX-TurboGrid or CFX-TASCgrid, allowing the performance of the component to be evaluated using CFX-TASCflow. The design engineer can include CFD as an integral part of the design process and model the behavior of fluids in turbomachinery before a working model is created. The value-added benefits of CFX-BladeGen include reduced design times and lower costs for creating prototypes. Once an acceptable design is achieved, it can be exported from CFX-BladeGen to the CAD (computer aided design) environment for design and manufacture. -BladeGen can handle a variety of rotating and stationary bladed components. The user can design new blades from scratch or modify existing designs. A wide range of blade types is accommodated for devices such as pumps, compressors, turbines, turbochargers, fans, and blowers.
