OpenSCA: A Matlab-based open source framework for side-channel attacks. This framework aims to support conducting carrying out side-channel attacks in several ways. Firstly, it provides structures (Matlab classes) to conduct DPA attacks in different ways. These objects take care of managing a large set of power traces, a large number of key hypotheses, and they manage DPA attacks. Despite that DPA attacks are the focus of this toolbox, other side-channel attacks can be carried out using these objects as well (e.g. timing attacks). Secondly, this toolbox contains classes to interface with (measurement) equipment. Thirdly, this toolbox contains all kinds of hopefully useful functions to process traces, calculate intermediate results of algorithms, etc. Further, we hope that the open source nature of this project stimulates cooperation between research institutions.
