AlgRemez
AlgRemez: The archive downloadable here contains an implementation of the Remez algorithm which calculates optimal rational (and polynomial) approximations to the nth root over a given spectral range. The Remez algorithm, although in principle is extremely straightforward to program, is quite difficult to get completely correct, e.g., the Maple implementation of the algorithm does not always converge to the correct answer.
