R package bigmemory: Manage Massive Matrices with Shared Memory and Memory-Mapped Files. Create, store, access, and manipulate massive matrices. Matrices are allocated to shared memory and may use memory-mapped files. Packages ’biganalytics’, ’bigtabulate’, ’synchronicity’, and ’bigalgebra’ provide advanced functionality.
