Algorithm 526: Bivariate Interpolation and Smooth Surface Fitting for Irregularly Distributed Data Points. This algorithm describes the IDBVIP/ IDSFFT subprogram package that implements the method of bivariate interpolation and smooth surface fitting for irregularly distributed data points [1]. The package is written in ANSI Standard Fortran [2]. The package consists of nine subprograms, i.e. eight subroutines and a function.
